Below is a summary of what happens in the next pages... the second version as the first... got killed... by... a wrong button...


Stuff happens. And I´d like to upload this into scraps, but dA won´t let me do that if I´d want to upload it into the group... Then again... does it really needs to go there..?

I know these pages are an insult to any of the other participants,. I apologize.

Ink jumped from Testobject short before he landed in the bag... Why?... Because I say so.

A 'short' summary of what happens in the next pages:

After the question of Marty after the identity of the voice, he got introduced as the 'young captain'. The captain questioning Marty in return as to what he searches in his bar.

The captain calling Marty a wimp, only provoked Marty to use Bernard for summoning a sword. Unfortunately making the captain aware of Bernard's abilities in the process.

The young captain ordered his crew to counterattack (to Marty's misfortune a lot of the guests were part of the young captain's crew).

In the meantime Testobject tried to stay away from the commotion, yet did not succed as the suddenly appearing sword through his torso showed to him. The weilder of the sword, a normal guest who got involded into the 'barfight' retreated in shock due to Testobject's "Pardon?!" and his not occured immediate death.

Testobject promply removed the sword from his torso. But as he was about to move to one of the corners inside the tavern (to avoid further sword attacks) he suddenly lost a large chunk of flour, leaving him in terror at his current position.

In the meantime Marty has moved back and was leaning on the bar, yet did not notice the barmaid (who now was standing away from the commotion cleaning some glasses) had switched with a member of the young captain's crew.

Just as Marty was about to climb over the bar he got hit with a bottle and fell to the ground.

An unnamed amount of time has passed, yet no more than an hour.

Marty, who was slowly recovering suddenly realized Bernard was gone (yet the sword he has summoned was not). In panic he started to ask for Bernard's whereabouts as he was interupted by Testobject, who was now sitting on one of the chairs stitching together his stomache (with a... to Testobject's misfortune black thread as he was not able to summon white thread). Testobject explained the pirates had took Bernard as their loot.

Marty furiously accused Testobject of being responsible for this situation and that Testobject had to help him retrieve Bernard. Testobject said he only would help if Marty would accept his forfeit. Marty, without thinking twice, accepted.

After a short discussion as to where the pirates could have went to, Marty left Testobject mid-sentence to ask the barmaid if she had heard any of the plans of the pirates.

The barmaid, of course, asking for payment only got to heard what a sharp, deadly, sword Marty had with him. The barmaid, not interested in dying that day, told Marty the pirates where about to leae for the nearest island and that they wanted to leave later that day.

Marty who then went back to Testobject, told him that their new goal would be the harbor.

The sun already started to set as Testobject and Marty reached the harbor. The pirate ship was easy to spot, as it was the only large enough ship in the harbor, the others mostly were rowing boats or vessels made for 5 may 10 pople not a crew of 50.

The ship was about to clear the port as the two jumped to it´s edge holding to it´s planks. They were about to split up (one searching for the captains cabin the other looking for the storage room) as Testobject noticed one of the pirates was wielding Bernard, trying to 'make him work' .

Marty without a second thought jumped onto the deck storming to the pirate holding Bernard.

In the meantime Testobject and Ink thought about what to do as their moment of surprise (despite their calculation they would have been spotted as soon as they saw the pirate ship) squibbed.

Ink's suggestion for Testobject to use his wings only got dismissed as 'there was a reason he hasn´t moved his right wing this whole time'. Yet Ink's other suggestion, to 'not forget the manipulator' got Testobject to think about his next step.

Meanwhile Marty fought with the pirate who still had Bernard in his hands, as suddenly loud noises and bright light were to see and hear from not too far away of their location. Marty used this moment of carelessness to retrieve Bernard.

Marty, confident in his victory ultimately used Bernard himself to defend and attack his foe, yet not noticing that he damaged the mast which was right behind him.

Meanwhile Testobject drew the attention of the rest of the crew, which attacked with their swords and threw daggers at him. One dagger landing in his muzzle, drawing Testobject's attention to the pirates in front of him, while suddenly being picked up by a far larger pirate. The pirate threw Testobject against the already by Marty damaged mast ultimately breaking it.

The mast twisted due to the cut. One of it´s crosstrees caught Marty, who was rather focused on his foe than what happened behind him, who not only lost Bernard at the impact but also got propelled serveral feet away from the pirate ship.

Testobject watching this scene in shock, moving to see where Marty would land, did not notice he stepped on Bernard. Testobject picked Bernard up, and a portal opened up under his feet.

"I hate life" were his last words before the portal swallowed him
